daughter to Angel (my first search dog), mother to Rainey, three year old Search Dog in Training, and grandmother to Phoenix, (under two years of age) and probably my last search dog that I will train....

What can I say?..... There is no dog that has captured my heart more than Jenna.....

Jenna: Search Logs excerpts

Jenna June 1

Set Robin out in a five acre field at Diamond Lake, had a path along south side, wind coming out of the northwest. Next to the path on the north side a lot of heavy grass. Approximate area 29 acres. About half in grass so actual area about ten acres. Asked Robin to go in somewhere in the grass because of the danger in the woods of poison ivy. Took Jenna in about 15 minutes, she hit Robin's trail on the path, trailed her all the way around the corner which turned to the south at the end of the field, went "beyond" her tral but suddenly air scenting in behind herself, Robin sitting in the grass at the northwest corner of the field. good job. could tell when she was on the trail, plenty of tail wagging and trotting right along.

"Short and Sweet"

first search: winds from the south east strong 15 mph, temps mid 40s

Karen hid beneath the slide at the playground, Jenna airscented in from around the north side of the hill which lies to the northwest north around a bend and steep gully area....

second search: small hillside with a steep ditch just on the north side of the road, Karen hid in the the ditch beside the road, Jenna air scented in from the other side of the hill (north side) after gridding through the parking area which lies on the shore of the lake.

shown here is a photo of Jenna in the midst of searching for cadaver scent....she has learned to "look low" and "go slow" in this endeavor....
